Basics for product photography in a professional studio



For the introduction to product photography the first task was to photograph a cup service.

So that the function and the impression is represented.

The pictures were pre-planned by sketches, tried out with different lights and then photographed.


For the actual model/product photography, various models from the previous semesters were brought along and also pre-planned by sketches. The following pictures are the result.


Since many positioning approaches were possible with this model, the light and the camera remained at the same height or the same setting and only the model itself was moved.


These two images serve as resolution for the previous ones.

So that one can see and understand that magnets hold the individual parts together.


Since there was still some time towards the end of the course..

..we took it and created two different Stop-Motion GIF's with the last model. Why not?
